Hello Everyone – Happy December!
It’s hard to believe that we are almost finished with 2015. Once Halloween arrives the rest of the year just flies in our family as we celebrate first Aaron’s birthday, then mine, then Thanksgiving, and Christmas is here!
Last week, on the 24th, Bill and I celebrated my birthday with a trip to Allen’s Boots here in Austin. My old cowboy boots have long ago lost their appeal and I’ve been jealous of my friend Valerie, who just got a new pair. So, we went down to South Congress and I shopped and tried on boots until I was swimming in tooled leather. I finally selected the pair of black Lucchese Bison leather boots in the picture above.
Afterwards, Bill bought me a steak and a bottle of red wine at Bob’s Chop House downtown. I normally prefer that Bill cook my steak at home on the grill, but it was a special occasion, so we went out.
My favorite birthday gift was the Cover Reveal of my book on my Facebook and Twitter pages. It was thrilling to see it sitting there in real life and to realize that in a few short months it will be in my hands and online to download. A real live book!
