I’m coming off of a weekend at the Killer Nashville conference. It was a great time signing books as well as networking. Both of my panels proved to be a hoot as well as informational with some great tips and tricks.
As I said last week, I hoped to shake hands with Janet Evanovich of the Stephanie Plum Series and I did! Above is a picture of us with her new Fender guitar gifted from the conference.
My biggest take away from the Humor panel was that timing is the key ingredient in writing with humor.
The best tip from the Writer’s Block panel was that writer’s block probably doesn’t exist, but more likely more preparation is needed or the willingness to face fears.
The awards banquet was a great wrap-up to the conference and it was great fun to see that both Kay Kendall and the Austin Mystery Writers won awards!
